So z.B. erwänswert sind hier die Bemühungen zur Erreichung des Westfälischen Friedens von 1648 zur Beendigung des Dreissigjährigen Krieges.Eine spezielle Rolle hatten die Aussöhnung und Vermittlung auch im Gewohnheitsrecht der Albaner gespielt. Über die friedliche Konfliktlösung wurden auch mehrere Konventionen verabschiedet, wie z.B.:Die Haager Friedenskonferenz vom 18. Oktober 1907;die Charta der agency der Vereinten Nationen in Artikel 33 vom 1945. Die bekannteste Anwendung der establishment der Schlichtung ist die im Zusammenhang mit dem so genannten "Arbeitskampf" in den USA.Unter den am häufigsten praktizierten Konzepten der außergerichtlichen Konfliktlösung ist das Harvard-Konzept hervorzuheben, welches eine Strategie für das Kommunikationsverfahren während des Schlichtungsverfahrens ausgearbeitet hat. Im Folge wird um die Regeln zur Anwendung eines kostengünstigen structures zur Konfliktschlichtung gesprochen. Darüber hinaus wird über Vermittlungsmechanismen in der Europäischen Union berichtet. Im weiteren wird über Gegenstand der Vermittlung, mögliche Konfliktvarianten,Verfahren der Antragstellung auf Vermittlung, ein praktisches Bespiel für eine erfolgreiche, außergerichtliche Konfliktschlichtung zwischen den EU-Staaten.Zum Schluss werden einige Aspekte der heutigen aussergerichtlichen Konfliktschlichtung in Albanien und Kosovo erläutert.
